I am so excited because…

take me out to the ballgame

Sammie, a true Red Sox’s fan, in action. Mr. Morrison sent us this picture from Saturday’s game and we all died laughing when we saw it. As Sam says, “Red Socks rocks!”
like minded…
This week, I am housesitting with Gracie while her family is out of town. Surprise, surprise we both got our hair cut…seperately…and when i got here we realized we got the exact same style, ‘cept I have bangs. Ha! I guess we just think alike.
spring break…
This year, Spring Break was almost as busy as school! Our family visited the Bauers in Georgia the first part of the week. It was great to see them all again. On Friday, a couple folks met Bobby and Bek in Williamsburg for dinner. Afterwards, we walked around Colonial and William and Mary. Fun, fun, fun. To top it all off, Katie and Mike got hitched over the weekend. Katie was a composed and beautiful bride. It was a darling wedding. Break really was a relaxing time, a nice chance to catch my breath before school picks up, and I am so grateful for the chance to spend extra time with my family and friends.
There were too many pics for one post, so enjoy the little slide show.
steve’s new ride
Steve’s car died a few weeks ago and one of our neighbors heard and offered Steve a sport’s car that he had rebuilt a few years ago. So now, Stevie is cruising around town in this beauty. It’s a Mitsubuishi 3000GT or something. Engine is brand new, inside is sweet and my favorite part is the sun roof. :)
Riding in it reminds me of the batmobile, ha!
Steve taking me for a spin…
ja Basketball Tournie
Sam’ basketball tournament was this weekend and was it fun. The Wolves went to the championship, but lost by four points to the Yellow Jackets. Still, all the kids played great. Our annoucers, Mr. Balckburn and Mr. Bizzell, made the day hilarious. They made up great nicknames for the kids and called the players by them through every play. Julia Waite was “Princess”, Relou and Tulouwani were “The Twin Towers,” Sam was “Slamming Sammy”… I can’t remember any more, but it was definitely a nice touch. Good job, guys! You all played hard and were so much fun to watch! Congrats to Yellow!
The pictures aren’t too great…my camera’s lousy at action shots, but enjoy!

Sam making a shot…he scored a couple. Sam was serious about practicing this year. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come home from school to find him busy shooting.

The Wolves playing the Sharks. Sam’s team won this game, but it was pretty tight.

Relou was the best player for the Wolves.

Everyone lined up outside of the locker rooms for the players to run out. Sam’s face cracks me up!
happy vday
Valentine’s Day=27 years since my parents’ first date. Mom shook me awake Thursday morning to show me the pearl earrings Dad got her. They are gorgeous , almost the size of grapes. Good job, Dad!
It is so much fun to see Dad and Mom fall deeper in love each year. I am so grateful for their example of godly marriage. Dad, I love that you still treat Mom like a princess…running to get the door for her, leaving her notes, praying for her, or taking her out for a treat. You set the standard high. Mom, it is so good for me to see you encouraging Dad as he leads our family and preferring him in big ways and small. You two are so cute. I love you both so much! Happy Valentines’ Day!
Mom wasn’t the only one to get bling though. Sam gave me a heart shaped ring off a cupcake and asked me to be his valentine. It was so sweet and I love my ring! You can kind of see it in this picture…
sunshine
Saturday felt like spring, so the kids spent all day outside. It looked like so much fun that I could help taking pictures. The boys were a little too busy for that when I went out there though. They came home from a bball game only to play more basketball.
